Oliver Twist is a novel written by Chales Dikens .It mainly describes a little boy's tough experiences .This novel reveals the author's attitude towards life in some point.
Oliver Twist was an orphan who was brought up by Shelia who lived in hospice. Oliver was regarded as a bastard, which resulted lots of discrimination.
In the foster home , he was on behalf of children to ask for more porridge ,which considered as a kind rude and unpolite behavior .He was confined for several days and came across another suffering.
Mr Bumble sent him to a coffin maker. In this plot ,I was attracted by the man Mr Noah who was also a servant .He played tricks on Oliver to grab some external fun .He deliberately said Oliver's mother was a bitch who had a child without marriage.
This kind of writing is advanced .It satirized the dark society .people's ignorance trapped kind people all the time .In contrast,Oliver , a naive boy who existed in a horrible environment ,always kept good honest.Although he knew nothing about his mother ,he persisted in beliving his mother's kindness.A little boy owned those good quality in dark society is doubted.But it reflects the author's opinion .Love makes the world go around.This topic was proved though the novel.
In an anthor plot ,Oliver entered a haunt of thieves by accident.A girl names Nacy rejected Mr Brownlow's help .She had no courage to leave the haunt where people had the same fate ,especially his beloved boy Sikes.In the end ,she was beaten to death .And this plot is the trasition .It hinted that bad people are destined to compensate. For Oliver's kindness ,he finally led a happy life with many kindhearted people's help.
This consequence accords with people's common criterion.Temporarily difficulities is not terrible as long as you reasonably deal with it.And success is on the way.What's more,we should always put love in the bottom of hearts.

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens， is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.
The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.
The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.
How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don't think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.
For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose， he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.
To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on people's honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their kindness， they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.
Francis Bacon said in his essay, Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.

Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens.
The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care.
Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.
Mr. Brownlow is one such person.
The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil.
Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.” Why is that Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.
Then there are Mrs. Maylie and Rose, Oliver’s other benefactors. Maybe the reason they loved and cared Oliver was not because of forgiveness. In my point of view, it was trust. They had faith in Oliver when he was considered to be a filthy burglar who tried to break the front door of Maylie’s at midnight. But this wasn’t how these two ladies saw the whole thing. They denied Oliver’s crime immediately and listened attentively to Oliver’s own description of his miserable life. They were deeply touched by Oliver’s strong perseverance and astonishing vitality. Accordingly, they remedied Oliver’s body and heart and turned him into a different boy. He began to wear appropriate and clean suits which were tailor-made for him and receive education.()
As far as we can see, it is trust that helps us all live together without precaution. Sometimes trust can even lead us to miracles, which we often expect to come about, so why not trust Trust yourself, trust others, and you’ll salute miracles every single day.

The Scarlet Letter offers an extraordinary insight into the norms and behavior of the 17th century if American Puritan society. The basic conflicts and problems of its main characters, however, are familiar to readers in the present. The female protagonist, has borne a child out of wedlock and has been jailed for over three months and sentenced to wear a symbol of her adultery, a scarlet “A” on her dress at all times. It concerns about the moral, emotional and psychological effect of the sin on people in general. It’s not simply a love story or a story of sin. The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne uses the scarlet letters to symbolize the harshness of Puritan society, showing how they brand sinners for life.
The story happened in Boston about 200 years ago. It narrates love affairs between three persons. The punished woman. Hester Pry nne and his husband. Who called himself Roger Chillingworth . He is an old misshapen man and a doctor. Hester does not love him at all. Another man is a young minister, Dimmesdale, who has a high position among ministers and is highly respected among his people in town. Hester and Dimmesdale love each other. But their love is forbidden in that time . It is sinful. Due to this,Hester is punished by society with a letter A on her chest, which considered an evil, a shame.
In this novel, the mainline seems to be around the letter A. Hester is brave enough to face the cruel reality. She is always with a mind of courage. She has been alone with her child for so long , with litter communication. Shame! Hopelessness! Loneliness! Hester has to wear the letter A day after day, seven years as for punishment and ill fame.
When a woman has lived through a difficult experience, her character changes a great deal. If she be all tenderness, she will die. If she survive, the tenderness will leave her .Hester’s charitable deeds and quiet humility have earned her a reprieve from the scorn of the community. The letter on her chest represents her work on earth , always helping others, without expecting any thanks. Never afterwards, does that scarlet letter leave her chest. The townspeople no longer view the letter as a punishment , but rather as representing her great strength and bravery and thy say it means “Able”。
But Arthur Dimmesdale, his sin against Hester and Pearl is that he will not acknowledge them as his wife and daughter in the daylight. He keeps his dreadful secret from all those under his care in the church for seven years for fear that he will lose their love and will not be forgiven. He is too weak to admit his sins. He suffers from mysterious heart trouble, seemingly caused by psychological distress. What’s worse, he is an advisor to the townspeople about their sins.
After Mr. Dimmesdale’s death , no one changes more in appearance than Roger Chilling worth. All his strength and energy has been used to harm his patient . This unhappy man has made his aim in life to add to the suffering of the young minister. When the evil old man no longer has such a purpose, the devil takes him back to the hell . It is a curious subject of observation, however, whether hatred or love are not of the same place. Each takes a great deal of emotion from one person. The two feelings seem basically the same, expect that one is smiled upon by God, while the other is worshipped by the devil.
The two lovers has ever decided to flee to Europe, where they can live with their dauthter Pearl as a family .They feel a sense of release there. However, their plan fails…… When Hester dies, she is buried next to Dimmesdale. The two share a single tombstone, with a deep colored letter A shining brightly.

The sun setting, I pull the curtain aside and open the window, taking a deep breath, and feeling the vicissitudes of life.
Be faced with he money, great father is worth of nothing.
At that time, money is the capitalist new signs of the times, and father is just something that when the patriarchal clan system residual feelings.
Concerning father’s love corroded by money, what's left? Sighing…
Saddened by her solitude in the falling dusk, she is assailed by wind and rain. I never thought that, they decided to choose money instead of love. Extreme egoism flooded all moral principles. Father Goriot's property was bled white and abandoned. Originally the spoiling under the money is so heartbreaking.
He was glowing with pain and memory, always hiding in the lonely grave.
Obedient just quietly indulgence, in exchange for you is just being betrayed.
Father Goriot still adhere to love them, as in the past, there is no reason, nor whether it is worthwhile, maybe, in his heart, so this is love.
The story happened in the past, but affects the future.
In our society, who are the only children in us, and it is groeing up in the doting parents’ love ? The same is the interpretation of love, at different times, what is the difference? As children, to accept the same care, what difference does it make? The same parents, giving this selfless care, and usually in the Father Goriot "refuse to realize one's error"?
It is often said, “This is the product of the society”。 Yes, the society originated from the people, for people in the final analysis, it is still the problem! Human nature on the one hand is missing, that led to all the problems of society the arch-criminal.
Their son is of far-reaching.
I've seen in a magazine that a story:
Kim was born in a rich family. A few years ago parents opened the gold mine and accumulated vast wealth, becoming the richest man in the village. Rich family make little Kim be spoiled, and develop a wayward character that she love leisure and hate labour. She learned to smoke, drink alcohol, and spend a lot of money. In the countryside, her monthly expense is two thousand yuan, let the other kids out of,. When she was lack of money, she would ask parents for money, sometime little criterion thousands, but sometime over ten thousand. Once, she told a lie to his father for money to buy things, opening, father he gave her a stack of $100 bills, count for more than 20000 pieces, less than two months, she will spend it all. When her mother repeatedly reprimanded her for this, she became so bitter. But without money, she even collaborated with her cruel boyfriend to kill her mother.
Until now, I still have a lingering fear. As a child, how can she kill her mother who raised her for 10 years? Is the situation that some people are lack of human nature really so serious? I think this is a true portrayal of ＂Father Goriot＂in today's society.
Maybe you are feeling better in today's society, the progress of the society. Is there anybody that ever considered why tragedy in such a modern society is much more terrible than the chaos of the dark days in the old society?
I think that society is not the scapegoat of the dark and the stepping stone of tragedy!
I can still remember the time when I was seven years old. At the weekend, I go to grandma's house as usual. I hurry to eating lunch to rush down the stairs to play games with the children. An old man lived in the first floor with their own little yard with many flowers. Then again at the spring, the flowers fill the yard. I don't know why, maybe possessive crazy filing my heart. No more hesitation and no longer afraid, I pick off the most beautiful flower. But when I get out off the yard, I fell down and crushed lots of flowers. I run away from the yard and go home. Under mother's stern, I tell my mother the whole thing in detail after a few evasion .The thought of the coming Armageddon was replaced by mother’s silence. She got up and pulled me, then went up to the old man’s home. I really fear the old man’s punishment. But it really surprised me much that the old men didn’t punish me .He gave me some flowers to prise my honest.
The road home seems to be long. Along the way, my mother said to me a lot, and I kept nodding my small head .But I only remember that mother said such words: to be honest, be responsible; can not be greedy, can not be empty.
In hindsight, I know, this word express volumes. Compared to the " Father Goriot " children, I was lucky. When I'm gone wrong in the prelude, there is mother’s diligently teachings wake me up. Without being a spoiled and blindly condoned, I didn’t get increasingly fallen.()
Perhaps, this is love.
To love is always delicately parallel with to be loved. Wrong to give, will never be able to harvest the true. When love and being love are truly coordinated unification, you will understand the family growth.
You hold on your doting love and the indulgency make the end melancholy.
